What is Voucher Buddy?
A shopping companion for Dunnes. You scan your items as you go, the app keeps the total, and it tells you exactly when you've unlocked a €5 or €10 voucher. No more adding up in your head halfway down the aisle.
Is it free?
Yes. The app costs nothing to download and use. If you request vouchers from Voucher Valley, the usual coin rules apply, same as on WhatsApp.
Do I need to sign up?
No. Open the app and start scanning. No account, no email, no phone number.
How do I get a voucher?
Every €25 of eligible items unlocks €5 off, up to €50 off on a €250 shop. When you're finished, tap Get vouchers. Use the vouchers you already have in your Dunnes app, or request the rest from Voucher Valley and they'll land on WhatsApp.
Do I have to use Voucher Valley?
No. On its own the app is a running total that tells you when you've crossed a voucher threshold. Voucher Valley is there if you want the vouchers themselves.
Are the prices up to date?
Yes. Prices in the app match what you see on the shelf, offers included.
What if the app can't match the barcode to an item?
Some items aren't in the app yet. When that happens the app asks you for the name and price, and the item goes into your cart straight away. We check it and add it for the next shopper.
Why doesn't my whole shop count towards the voucher?
Some items, like alcohol and baby food, aren't voucher-eligible at Dunnes. They stay in your total but don't move the bar. The app marks them with a grey Ineligible label.
Which shops does it work in?
Every Dunnes Stores in the Republic of Ireland. There's no shop to pick and the app never asks where you are.
